Lititz Springs Park has held a Fourth of July celebration since 1818 — and it’s open dawn to dusk, free, every other day of the year. Come for the concert, stay for the trout stream.

Traditions worth planning around
July 4
Fourth of July Celebration
Candle illumination along the stream, the Queen of Candles, baby parade and fireworks — held here every year since 1818.
Memorial Day – Labor Day
Snack stand open
The stand at Reedy Pavilion serves the park through the summer, weather and volunteers permitting.
Summer evenings
Concerts at the Beck Band Shell
Community bands, church services and theater groups book the shell all season. Dates are posted as they are confirmed.

The park fills with vendors for the day. The Welcome Center closes for this one, so plan questions ahead.

Spring water runs the length of the park, the Beck Band Shell sits at the heart of it, and seven pavilions and gazebos are scattered under the trees. None of it costs anything to enjoy.

Since 1818
The Fourth of July, unbroken
The springs have drawn people here since the Moravians laid out the town. In 1818 the congregation held the first Fourth of July celebration on this ground, and it has been held every year since — one of the longest-running Independence Day celebrations in the country.
The park is still owned by the Lititz Moravian Congregation and maintained by the Churches of Lititz for public use.
