Lititz Fire & Ice Festival: Schedule, Ice Sculptures, Parking
Posted in :
Every February, a little town from Pennsylvania famous for its pretzels and chocolate gets covered in ice. Lititz Fire and Ice is the biggest winter event in Lancaster County. This event attracts huge ice sculptures, fire artists, food stands, and thousands of visitors to the heart of Lititz and the entrance of Lititz Springs Park.
The following guide will provide information about all the details you need to organize your trip: Lititz Fire & Ice Dates in 2027, the schedule of the event in 2026 (so that you know what to expect from the upcoming event), location of the sculptures, parking options, and ticketed events.
Lititz Fire and Ice 2027: Dates at a Glance
Venture Lititz, the nonprofit that runs the festival, has already announced next year’s dates:
| Weekend | Dates | Days |
| Weekend 1 | February 12–15, 2027 | Friday – Monday (Presidents’ Day) |
| Weekend 2 | February 18–21, 2027 | Thursday – Sunday |
That’s a change from 2026. Last year the festival ran for 10 straight days. For 2027 it returns to two four-day weekends. Full event details are still being released, so check the official Lititz Fire & Ice page as the schedule fills in.
Admission is free. You can walk the streets, see every sculpture, and shop downtown without a ticket. Only a few special events charge admission (see the tickets section below).

What Is the Fire and Ice Festival in Lititz?
The Fire and Ice Festival in Lititz started in 2006 as a way to bring people downtown in the quietest month of the year. It grew into one of the region’s most popular winter events. Venture Lititz estimated that about 50,000 people attended in 2025, according to LNP | LancasterOnline.
The “ice” half is the sculptures: dozens of large carved pieces plus smaller single-block sculptures placed along the sidewalks. The “fire” half comes from live fire performers, warming stations, and the downtown restaurants serving hot food and drinks.
What makes it different from bigger city ice festivals is the setting. Everything is walkable. You can see a sculpture, duck into a candy shop, grab a coffee, and walk into Lititz Springs Park within about ten minutes.

Ice Sculptures in Lititz: Where to Find Them
The ice sculptures in Lititz are the key attractions. The 2026 Lititz Ice Festival presented around 27 big ice sculptures and about 85 single blocks of ice. Some ice sculptures were made for the first weekend, while others – for the second one. So, there is another good reason to visit Lititz twice.
The ice sculptures are placed in four locations:
1. The most crowded area of ice sculptures can be found along the Main Street, surrounded by the shops and cafes.
2. Broad Street goes from north to south through the middle of Lititz.
3. Juniper Lane is a narrow street in the vicinity of Lititz Shirt Factory.
4. The Lititz Springs Park entrance is the place where the ice sculptures connect to the park gate and the water flow of the spring.
Recommended route of exploration: Park near the schools, enter Lititz Springs Park, view the sculptures near the park entrance and then go southward along Broad Street, go along Main Street in both directions and finish at Juniper Lane. Plan on 60–90 minutes if you stop to shop.
Tips for Seeing the Sculptures
- Go in daylight for detail. Organizers recommend visiting between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The carvings are easiest to see then, and the shops and scavenger hunt are open too.
- Stay past dusk for the lights. Many sculptures are lit in color after dark, which makes for good evening photos.
- Watch live carving. Carvers finish some pieces on site, and Winter’s Coolest Night Out includes a live giant-sculpture carving.
- Don’t touch or climb. The sculptures aren’t built to be leaned on, so keep kids off them.
- Come early in the week. Weather affects how long the ice lasts, so the sharpest detail is usually in the first days of each weekend.
Lititz Fire and Ice Parking Guide
Parking is the biggest source of stress at the festival. Here’s where to go:
| Option | Where | When | Notes |
| Warwick High School | 265 W. Orange St. | Weekends | Short walk into Lititz Springs Park |
| Warwick Middle School | 401 Maple St. | Weekends | Also connects easily to the park |
| Street parking (metered) | Main St., Broad St. | All days | Fills up first |
| Side streets (unmetered) | Residential blocks off Main | All days | Often has open spots, but read the signs |
| Downtown lots | Behind shops and restaurants | All days | Convenient but limited |
| Church lots | Various | Weekdays and Saturdays | Not on Sundays |
Arrival tips:
- Second weekend is much busier. In 2025, about 15,000 people came the first weekend and about 35,000 the second. If you want smaller crowds, choose Weekend 1.
- Weekday visits are easiest. If you’re visiting over the Presidents’ Day Monday (Feb 15, 2027), arrive before 11 a.m.
- Use the school lots on weekends. They save you from circling downtown, and you enter the festival through the park.
- Lititz Fire and Ice 2026 Tickets: What’s Free and What’s Not
People search for Lititz Fire and Ice 2026 tickets every year, but the festival itself doesn’t need one. Walking the sculpture route, the Food Truck Court, the scavenger hunt, and the park entertainment are all free.
Tickets are only needed for special events:
- Winter’s Coolest Night Out. This preview party the night before opening day has live music, food, drinks, and a live ice carving. It sells out every year, usually before festival week. Buy tickets as soon as they go on sale.
- Partner events. In 2026 these included the Ice Cream Festival ($20), fiber workshops ($40), and the Lions Club Chili Cook-Off ($15 adults, $7 kids at the door).
Ticketed events for 2027 will be posted on the official Venture Lititz festival page as they’re confirmed.

Planning Your Visit
Restrooms: Public restrooms are at the Lititz Welcome Center at the entrance to Lititz Springs Park, usually open 10 a.m.–4 p.m. with longer hours on busy festival days. In 2026 there were also extra restrooms off East Main Street on South Sturgis Lane and at the Food Truck Court.
Food: In 2026 the Food Truck Court was in the Lititz Mutual lot at 2 N. Broad St. Downtown restaurants also run festival specials, and the Hot & Cold Crawl gives you a reason to try several.
Dogs: Organizers strongly recommend leaving pets at home. Leashes can catch on sculptures, and the crowds stress most dogs. If you do bring one, keep it close and don’t use a retractable leash.
Kids: It’s a very family-friendly event. The scavenger hunt, the safety showcase, and the live entertainment in the park are built for kids.
What to wear: Waterproof boots, warm layers, and gloves thin enough to use your phone camera. You’ll be outside and walking for most of your visit.
Where to stay: The Wilbur Hotel, Lititz Springs Inn & Spa, The Alden House, and Lititz Suites on Main are all within walking distance of the festival. Hotel Rock Lititz is about a mile and a half away. Book early for the second weekend.
Want to help? The festival runs on volunteers. You can sign up for a volunteer shift.

Make a Day of It at Lititz Springs Park
The festival spreads through downtown, but Lititz Springs Park is where it starts for many visitors. Park at the schools, walk in past the ice sculptures at the entrance, and in 2026 the park hosted the fire performances and a full day of live dance and music. It’s also where you’ll find the Welcome Center restrooms and some space away from the busy sidewalks on Main Street.
