Season status (October 2026): Lititz Springs Pool is closed for the year. This pool’s 2026 season ended following Labor Day, with the annual Doggie Swim event held on September 8. The season passes for the upcoming summer season are available from March 1.

Lititz Springs Pool is the open-air community pool of Lititz, Pennsylvania. It is located on 201 Maple Street, beside Lititz recCenter and Warwick High School, and near Lititz Springs Park. It is an open facility, which means that no memberships or season passes are required other than the entrance fee.

When Is Lititz Springs Pool Open?

Season Dates

The pool runs from the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend to Labor Day, according to the official Lititz Springs Pool FAQs. Some local write-ups describe the season as early June to late August, so check the official pool page before your first visit of the year.

Daily Hours and Late-August Closures

Regular hours are 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. every day. The catch comes at the end of summer. Once lifeguards head back to school, the pool shifts to a reduced schedule. In 2026, the end-of-summer schedule showed closures on August 26–28 and again August 31–September 3, with the pool reopening for Labor Day weekend.

Weather and Other Closures

The pool manager decides when to close for weather. Under the Lititz Springs Pool rules, thunder or lightning clears the pool, and swimming resumes only after 30 minutes without either. Rain or temperatures of 60°F and below can also close part or all of the facility. A fecal incident closes the affected pool for treatment. None of these closures earns a refund, for day guests or pass holders.

How Much Does Lititz Springs Pool Cost?

Daily Admission

Daily passes are sold at the gate: $20 for ages 23–59 and $15 for ages 2–22 and seniors 60+. Children under 2 don’t pay. Staff may ask for photo ID, and on very busy days the pool can pause daily sales to manage capacity.

Season Pass Prices (2026)

These prices come from the 2026 season pass rate sheet.

PassWho countsRegularrecCenter member
AdultOne person, 23–59$272$136
YouthOne person, 2–22$212$106
SeniorOne person, 60+$233$116.50
FamilySpouses or domestic partners and their children under 23 living at home$526$263

Three details matter here. Passes are a flat fee and aren’t prorated if you buy in July. They’re non-refundable. And the member price requires at least a three-month Lititz recCenter membership. Roommates can’t share a family pass, and lending your swipe card to a friend counts as theft and can cost you the pass.

Is a Season Pass Worth It?

Divide the pass price by the daily rate and you get the number of visits where the pass starts saving money.

Pass (2026)Daily equivalentPays off at regular pricePays off at member price
Adult$2014th visit7th visit
Youth$1515th visit8th visit
Senior$1516th visit8th visit
Family (2 adults + 2 kids)$708th visit4th visit

With a season of roughly 14–15 weeks, an individual pass makes sense if you’ll swim about once a week. A family of four only needs to go every other week. The member column doesn’t include what you pay for the recCenter membership itself, so only count it if you’d join anyway.

What’s at Lititz Springs Pool

The facility reopened in 2020 after a complete rebuild and now has three distinct swimming areas:

  • Main recreation pool: zero-entry shallow end, diving boards, a large slide, floating lily pads and a play structure with a big dump bucket.
  • Lap pool: a 6-lane competition pool used for lap swimming during open hours, with a lift for accessibility.
  • Tot pool and splash pad: a wading pool for kids 5 and under plus a splash pad with no standing water.

Around the water you’ll find grassy lounging areas, large shade umbrellas, bathhouses with showers, vending machines and water fountains.

Pool Rules by Age

The age rules are spread across several official documents. Here they are in one place.

AgeWhat applies
Under 2Free entry; in the lap pool only if held by an adult
Under 6An adult must be in the water with them at all times
5 and underCan use the tot/wading pool
5 and olderMust use the bathhouse for their gender
Under 11Must arrive with someone 16 or older and can’t be left alone
11 and underNeeds the lifeguard swim test for the slide, diving boards and deep water
Under 18Needs a swim test and lifeguard permission for the lap pool

The Swim Test

The test is administered by the lifeguard. Children will be required to swim one complete length of the pool and tread water for 30 seconds. Treading of water can also be tested. The guards have the freedom to test even older children. For new swimmers, it is best that you practice treading before the initial visit.

Food, Coolers and What to Bring

The absence of a snack bar allows you to pack a lunch for a picnic. However, note that food is permitted on the grass and at the tables, but not at the pool deck except for water. Coolers and picnic baskets will be subject to inspection. Additionally, you can have a pizza or a sub delivered to the gate. The Spring House in Lititz Springs Park and some other places downtown are located within a walking distance.

A realistic checklist: chairs (there are none available), sunscreen, towels, swim diapers for kids, a reusable water bottle, and money for vending. If desired, you should carry your music with you in order to listen to it with headphones.

What’s Not Allowed

  • Glass containers, alcohol, tobacco, vapes and chewing gum
  • Grills or cooking equipment
  • Inner tubes, rafts, water wings, rings, back floats, mermaid tails and flippers
  • Street clothes or workout clothes in the water, and thong-style swimsuits
  • Masks and snorkels for kids (goggles are fine)
  • Speakers (personal music only with headphones)
  • Tents or shade shelters without staff approval

Only U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets that hold a swimmer upright are allowed, and never on the slide.

Parties, Groups and the Pavilion

Pavilion Rental

The poolside pavilion has eight tables, electricity and water. Rentals are on top of admission.

Pavilion (2026)WeekdayWeekend / holiday
Full day (12:30–7 p.m.)$140$160
Half day (12–3 p.m. or 4–7 p.m.)$70$80

Group Admission

Groups of 25 or more can book group admission with a reservation and deposit: $420 for 25–30 people, $560 for 31–40, and $700 for 41–50, the maximum. Do the math before booking. Because youth admission is $15, a group of mostly kids can pay less at the daily rate: up to 27 kids in the first bracket, 37 in the second and 46 in the third. Group booking still has value because your visit is arranged ahead, while walk-in groups under 25 are admitted at the manager’s discretion. There are no after-hours rentals. To book, email Aquatics@lititzrec.com or call 717-626-5096, ext. 227.

Accessibility and Parking

The rebuilt pool was designed to be accessible. Entrances, bathhouses and restrooms have accessible options, the main pool has a zero-depth entry, the splash pad has no depth at all, and the lap pool has a lift (ask a lifeguard or the manager before using it). Accessible parking is near the pool entrance, with more across the driveway at Lititz recCenter.

Tips for a Smoother Visit

  1. Create a free account before your first visit. The recCenter uses an online system; signing up as a non-member through the Lititz Springs Pool page speeds up the gate.
  2. Check Facebook on iffy days. Closures and reopening times are posted on the pool’s Facebook page first.
  3. Go early or late in heat waves. Capacity limits can pause daily sales on the hottest afternoons.
  4. Bring chairs and claim shade early. Umbrellas fill up fast.
  5. Leave valuables at home. Staffs aren’t responsible for belongings, and lost-and-found items are kept just two weeks.
  6. Ask about gift cards. The recCenter front desk sells them for passes or day visits.

Beyond Open Swim

Swim Team

The Lititz Springs Waverunners use the pool as their home base for morning practices and meets. Team fees are separate from pool passes.

Swim Lessons

Lessons run year-round indoors at Lititz recCenter, so weather never cancels them. See the recCenter swim lessons page for schedules.

Lifeguard Jobs

Lifeguards, gate staff and custodial staff are hired each year. Lifeguard certification classes are open to anyone 15 or older and run through fall and winter.

Doggie Swim

After the season ends, dogs get the pool for an evening. In 2026 it cost $15 per dog, with a two-dog limit per person, leashes and proof of rabies vaccination and licence required.

When the Outdoor Pool Is Closed

Lititz recCenter, just across the parking lot, has two indoor pools: an 8-lane, 25-meter lap pool kept around 82°F and a zero-entry splash pool with a slide kept around 85°F. Indoor access follows recCenter membership and program rules rather than the outdoor pool’s daily-pass system, so check their site before going.

A Little History

Lititz Springs Pool dates to 1961 and has been a summer fixture for generations of local families. A roughly $4.5 million renovation, backed by Lititz Borough, Warwick Township, Penn Township and community donors, transformed it into today’s three-pool facility, which reopened in 2020.
